The always controversial Ann Coulter

The talking over one another was frustrating and made it impossible to hear the dialogue, but I always enjoy the two of them together.

This woman is clearly bothered, and has some sort of issues with herself.

When isnt she complaining? has someone ever told her to shut the hell up and just enjoy life?

Coulter is desperate for attention these days. She has discredited her self so many times over her carrer that no intelligent person is interested in her shrill, paranoid rantings. She needs a permanent vacation with cheney. Both of them can just fade away.

I am disgusted beyond rational temper that Joy let Ann spew the hate-filled and vile rhetoric equating liberals not only with COMMUNISTS but with ASSASSINS. And then to just play it off with a flip and ha-ha-ha "ain't we all chums" remark like, "She says it with a straight face! That's what I love about you.. . "

If you want to keep your show watchable, what on EARTH compels you to put this hatemonger on your platform.

Why in God's name would Joy sully her brand-new show with the likes of Ann Coulter? Ann is a waste of food - and so toxic, you've evidently needed to douse her chair in bleach. NEVER have that waste of food on your show again. She adds no value to any discourse. Ann is a pig.

I agree with Randy. It doesn't seem to matter what group of people she talks about this "differnent than her" group is going to get us. What is she thinking?

Historically, she is incorrect. Charles J. Guiteau, the assasin of President Garfield was a Republican who murdered him because the administration had refused him an ambassadorship. There is no doubt Guiteau was a blowhard and serial consumate liar who didn't deserve the position he sought, but there is no record of him having been a democrat. Moments after shooting Garfield, he screamed "Now Arthur is President", giving credence to his support for Arthur. Arthur was an even more partisan Republican.

There is, however, evidence that Mr. Guiteau was a Christian, ironically. He sought, in an ad posted at the end of an article he wrote for the New York Herald,, to marry a "good Christian girl under 30" prior to his execution. He also wrote a poem titled "Iam going to Lordy" that he recited prior to his execution.

Ann Coulter is an embarrassment for us Republicans. We need to be the party that delivers answers that the Democrats can't or won't provide and get rid cast off these anachronistic malcontents like Coulter as well as the multinational business lobbyists and apologists to we can take America forward.

Right now, I am embarrassed to say I'm a conservative and Republican when I have dubious people like Ann Coulter in my camp.

As much as I like Ann Coulter and agree with much of what she has to say, I cringe at hearing her (or anyone, for that matter) discussing the assassination of B.O.

There is already enough loons out there without giving them any ideas. While history is on Ann's side (most of the assassins were left wing), I am uncomfortable hearing her mention it....

Ann Coulter has to be the worst choice of guests Joy has made to date.
When I first heard Ann Coulter being interviewed on another show, I was mortified that the person, whose show it was, could not control her interrupting, speaking consistently as loud as possible and never permitting another to say anything. My immediate thought was that ground rules should be established before anyone sits down for an interview. However, after watching a number of these "talkathons" of hers, I realize that nothing would help. We just do not watch the show.
One word of advice Joy.! Keep having the likes of Ann Coulter on and you will lose your fans along with your show.

Joy, your current guest, Anne Coulter is just being plain stupid and she is not debating objectively. She really needs to listen to her comments later tonight after the show. I try not to take sides but now, I can see why she is said to be biased. It is sad.

Wish Joy would put Ann Coulter on the bottom of her guest list. It seems impossible to have a meaningful dialogue with her.

Thank God for Gore Vidal. It is a shame there are not more of his kind in the younger generation. So wise while being irreverent. A good combination.

Joy needs to be better informed if she is going to comment on an accusation such as the quote on the amount of Doctors agree on the Health Care by stating the AMA. The AMA only represents about 17% of Medical Doctors and the majority of them are retired. She should have enough common sense to know that most polls are biased one way or another buy whomever pays for the polls. If it is generally a poll wanted by the Democratic side then it will usually come back to favor their position and if it is Republician it will usually support their position. Becareful in citing any poll unless you know it is an independent poll which is very hard to find. I am not a fan of Ann Coulter by far but in the limited amount I saw of the interview she was very much more informed and could give examples to support her position of which Joy just changed the subject when she was confronted and had nothing to back it up.

i have to get this off of my chest: and this isn't just for ann coulter. it applies to many idiots. why, oh WHY, do people think talking louder and/or on top of another – then they must be correct. speaking louder doesn't mean anything more than you are rude and you are more interested in getting your words in, than listening to what the other has to say......doesn't make for a very meaningful dialogue, does it? BTW, this is why i don't usually make a full hour of the view, you ladies talk over and on top of each other all the time. i change the channel and come back later when it calms down. to me, when men do it, they sound like bullies, and when women do it, we sound like cackling hens. .....but that's just me. I did not enjoy tonights show which is unusual, but that woman ANN COULTER is horrible! How could anyone have a decent conversation with this woman? I watched Anne Coulter on your show today. Joy was clearly out-classed by Anne. Joy was frustrated, looked around at her camera crew / producers for support, and was no match for Anne.
Joy is so obviously a Liberal and out of step with what is right for the USA.
If Joy had courage, she would take some time to reflect on her rediculous support of the Democratic party, and shift to the Republican / Conservative values that made this country great, and will eventually return this country to a strong vibrant God fearing country. Ann Coulter makes me sick. I love your show Joy but I could only watch 1 minute of it tonight because that voice and what comes out of it makes me so angry that I had to turn it off. I wish people would stop giving her a platform to say such incredibly stupid and hateful things.

I'm not a fan of Ann Coulter, but I watched the interview for one reason: I knew that Ann would tear Joy's "arguments" into bite-size pieces. And she did. Behar danced around the points more than anybody on "Dancing with the Stars" ever did.

Gee! imagine my surprise to find out Joy has NO CLUE re: the AMA. The actual percentage of doctors who are members of the AMA is 17%. I have talked with physician friends of mine and found that over 90% of their associates do not back the healthcare reform. It is obvious that she is completely unaware that there is a "Million Med March" on Washington planned to protest the AMA's support. Like every other entertainer, she needs to entertain and leave the educating of the public to those who have the knowledge to communicate the information.

Wow alot of hateful comments!!! Here's a different angle. I never liked Ann Coulter but tonight on the Topic of Healthcare and Fox, Joy made a huge mistake just like our President. The AMA only represents about 17% of all MDs in the U.S., NOT ALL OF THEM!. The pole that was quoted on Fox was also reported on Investor's Business Daily in late Sept/Early October (weds issue). As a future breast surgeon, with over 200K in debth from medical school and no job perspective in the future and with everyone practicing defensive medicine I would quit too if my pay and the way I practive medicine (I went to medical school and not law school...remember) were even more dictated by a bunch of Lawyers and Politicians. TO think that I actually voted for OBAMA, so many promises and nothing delivered as of yet except private jets for the bail-out execs. Our people are the one's that should be considered "TOO BIG TO FAIL".

I loved the show tonight and thank you for letting Ann Coulter talk and ramble on about how us liberals are communists and assassins. I enjoyed you when you did Larry King Live ... now, however, it is very difficult to watch your show when you allow two or more guests to talk at the same time; plus you are also talking. It is impossible to understand anyone when that is occuring. As a result, on more than one occasion I have just turned of the tv or switched to another channel.

This thing of people talking over other people is so rude and annoying ... unfortunately it occurs too often these days.

I'm glad someone is challenging Ann, Joy is the best person do it. But you all are correct that Joy should limit Ann's time on her show and have other new people on. I actually like Megan McCain. She's not crazy. Please do not have that other crazy woman on your show, I can't think of her name, but she's Asian and says the same things as Ann Coulter. I'm Asian, and that woman makes Asians look stupid if that's possible.

Joy, I commend you for getting some control over your own show this evening. It is the first time I've heard you stop people from talking over each other or letting one person dominate the segment when there is a panel of three sitting there. One simply cannot hear the discussion when everyone is shouting over each other. My husband says it sounds like the chickens that cackle on "The View". I like the View, but that behavior is expected there, not on CNN where things are a bit more civil–we hope.

That was the fastest half hour TV show that I've seen in a long time. Just hilarious and fast paced. I figured it would be with Ann Coulter's big mouth on there. Joy took good control over her at first, then almost lost control when she let Ann answer a question by changing the subject, but Joy got the control back. I would like to have seen Joy get a little bit more "Chris Matthews" on Ann. Anyhow.......I loved it. More shows like this, Joy, and you will be moving up a time slot or two.

Shock factor aside (which is obviously all Ann Coulter has) I think the central issue here is the appalling lack of understanding Americans seem to have of Socialist, Communist, and Liberal ideologies. As a Canadian I live in a society with government run socialist programs that provide a safety net for every citizen, especially the most needy. It is by no means perfect but it is better than the alternative which is nothing. We are not communists however. We encourage and believe in free enterprise, by all means make money!! Just don't think you can live in you mansion and not feel any responsibility for the most disadvantaged in your society. Yes our Health Care is "free" although most of us pay premiums based on our salary. When my mother had a stroke 3 years ago my family did not have to think for even a second about how we were going to pay for her hospital stay. Nor did we have to worry about her physiotherapy afterward. Our socialist ideologies are based on creating a society that takes care of people first not corporations. We have freedom of speech and any other freedom enjoyed by Americans yet we are still "socialists" when it comes to taking care of our citizens. So please stop equating Socialists with Communists we are not by any means the same. Ask your self this. What kind of society do you have where a shareholder in an HMO can make a profit off of the misery of a child with a life threatening illness? What is more evil? Socialism? Liberalism? I think not.

If all presidential assassins were liberal, then I guess John Wilkes Booth was a liberal? I can't quite figure that one out. Also, the infamous serial killer/rapist Ted Bundy was once a paid staffer for the Washington State Republican party, so by Coulter's logic, I guess that ties him with Bush, Cheney, Reagan, Eisenhower, etc. How can any responsible news outlet give this lunatic a forum?

And she makes no bones about it. However I will give her kudos for trying to take on Ann Colter last night. Kinda seemds like a half ass shot at making it fair and balanced. Why was Ann Coulter on your show, Joy, TWICE IN LESS THAN A MONTH? Hmmmmmmmmmm?

Ann Coulter is an actor and (attempted) entertainer, with no real governmental experience. She is just a version of the balloon-boy family, inventing facts to get herself on TV. Doesn't she have any self-respect? For all those people who think Ann Coulter is a hero, Timothy McVeigh (the most devastating US-born assassin) was a card-carrying Republican. And that's just one problem with what she said on the show. Obviously she says this stuff up to be inflamatory, and it's a shame there are uninformed people out there who believe what she says rather than thinking for themselves.

Joy, this the first time I watch your show and I thoroughly enjoyed the interview/discussion with Ann Coulter. I think Coulter is very intelligent and well-informed about issues, but she should have told you, "I can only imagine how many mistakes Obama would make without his teleprompter. At least Bush didn't rely on a teleprompter for his speeches." Please have her on again. I loved the show!

I watched a few min. of the show last night and cannot believe how rude, unpleasant and ugly (mostly inside) Ann Coulter is. It's almost unbelievable. I love your show. It isn't very interesting to have Ann Coulter on your show. She is a loose canon and she seems to rant all over the place without making any sense at all so it is not productive to have her on your show. It does show her how strange her thinking is but is not very informative or entertaining. You look gorgeous on your show.

Whenever I see Ann Coulter she reminds me of a Collie. Since I love dogs I find it much easier to tolerate her without any sound on the TV. This way I don't lose respect for dogs. Unfortunately, in the land of free speech, even those who hate everyone but themselves has the right to speak their mind and give their opinion. The U.S. is still in terrible shape which only seems to breed internal arguing and a failure to move forward.

Here in Canada I anxiously watched the U.S. Presidential election and was very happy to see Mr. Obama win. Everyone was so full of hope at that time. "And most of them are retired.", apparently that's all it takes for some people to believe it. Why? Because Fox News, and Anne Coulter, and other parasites too numerous to mention, are not afraid to lie and manipulate statistics in order to make their 'viewpoint'~and their viewpoint always has an angle that directly benefits THEM~look credible. I think Ann Coulter comes to TV interview shows armed with memorized answers. Whether the question is about the war or the economy or a politician she has a pat response. Which she tends to repeat. Even if the follow up question is different...watch the clips and you'll see this. She states her answers in a way that makes it sound as though her information is correct. Who knows if it is or not...?...an authoritative tone does not make her information correct. She spoke louder and faster than Joy and never seemed to take a breath. That's a tactic I find very annoying. Joy kept saying things like: come on...that's just not true....and...answer the question. But Ann Coulter didn't answer the actual questions. She continued to spout the party line. It feels as though Ann Coulter is taking instruction from someone before sitting down, to the desk.

I enjoy your work! But I have to tell you, after watching Ann Coulter interviews on two separate shows of yours, I will be skipping any future segments you have with Ann Coulter.

You were not able to give her solid follow up arguments to her liberal trashing, even when they were obvious. This was particularly frustrating when she predictably defended an outragious comment in a clip from Karl Rove that Rachel Maddow had easily lambasted the same night. Ann could not have refuted Rachel's comments, even though she'd try.

If you had Ann Coulter on with someone who really knew their politics and had the ability to counter her "defend the Republicans at all cost" drivel, then I'd try watching her again.

But it seems you either don't want to come back at her too strongly and offend her or aren't supplied with enough facts to neutralize even her most egregious comments.

I hope you don't give Rush Limbaugh such a soft ball approach. I don't find it entertaining for you to lob serious issues at someone like that and then give an ineffective cursory response to their painful twisting of the facts. It's just more publicity for liars who are hurting this country. Not funny and not entertaining.

What Facts??? What facts did she have straight? She had no facts straight. There was not a single thing that woman said that was a fact or even approached being straight. Love your show....all of them. Last night was great with Ann the Idiot and Gore Vidal but the "panel" concept has got to go. Can't hear anybody with all of talking over each other. If I wanted to see that I would watch the "View." I find all the shows informative, funny and entertaining. Your one on one interviews are all always great. Guest like Ann are fun....you can't just have people who agree with your side.

For the record Joy, I think you are hugely mistaken about Fox News viewers. I am a 37 year old mother who was an art history major at a top 10 university that leans to the left. I consider myself to be an intellectual and a good critical thinker. I watch Fox News because it is the most unbiased news I can get. They are critical of Obama just as they were George Bush. That is their job as reporters. Other news channels such as CNN and MSNBC refuse to analyze Obama's policies in a critical way. When you talk about Fox News, be sure to discriminate between the opinion shows and the actual news. It's just like a newspaper. There is news and opinion offered. You are out of touch with the mainstream of America who watches Fox. We are not uneducated country bumpkins and I think that is truly what you think of us.

Everyone seems to forget Ann Coulter is a successful best selling author. She is a smart woman. Joy just blurts irrelevant statements rather than listen to her guest answer the question. This is insulting to the viewers. Joy is not prepared with facts. Her research is someone else reading USA Today. She used that as a source last time Ann was on and she had to ask someone to find out where he inaccurate quote came from. How could anyone think USA Today is an unimpeachable source? Since I am writing this comment two days after this particular show, I don't remember the name of the gentleman whom Joy was interview-ing when she stated to this individual what someone had said a-bout "if you live right" the after life for you was going to be all right...(Now, the second part of that "quote" is not verbatim because it was those first words that pierced my heart)...Joy then stated "I hope that is right!" Well, according to God...and what He tells us in His Word...that is NOT right..because God states in His Word "that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"...so, without receiving Christ, NO ONE "lives right!" Since eternity is a very long time, I would lovingly suggest to Joy Behar that she contemplate the fact that, one day, she is going to die and that it would behoove her to start reading the Bible and ask Him to reveal to her whether or not it is, in fact, "His Word"..

After I submitted the above comment, I took the time to read the previous ones and when I read "Margaret's" comment, "Joy Behar has no class", I was taken aback because, last night, after listening to Joy ask Clarence Clemens how many women he'd slept with, my response was "dear God I guess what causes CNN to choose who gets to host a talk show is that that one has got to have NO CLASS!" And that was my response in view of the fact that this has been my issue with CNN's allowing Nancy Grace to continue to have her own show because Nancy is one who has no class! Now, I say that of both Joy, and Nancy, not to be cruel, or critical, BECAUSE they can choose TO HAVE CLASS if both these women could recognize their need to be "born again" and filled with God's love...a love that is able to love the "sinner" while, concomitantly, hating the sinner's "sin"! I am 66yrs of age and this past year is the very first time I have EVER watched the news because I could not stand the pain of hearing about all the murders that go on in my world. However, as a result of trying to reach out to George Anthony, when he was suicidal, I felt the necessity to watch the Nancy Grace Show, to get updates on how George was doing, and, the more I watched this show the more I became appal-
led at how Nancy Grace tries, and convicts, on national TV whomever SHE as decided is guilty...and then, upon learning that Melinda Duckett commmitted suicide...as a result of Nancy's having pointed her accusatory finger at her...I not only made it my business to befriend Melinda's grandparents..with whom I now share a real love relationship with...but also have I made it my business to try and get Nancy Grace off of the air so that there is not another casualty like Melinda Duckett! Since I am now confronting CNN, as a whole, do I, occasionally, watch the Joy Behar Show...to see what CNN is allowing
on her show! Last night, when I turned on the Joy Behar Show, my heart was breaking with an agonizing kind of grief, as a result of my having just learned that yet another precious child, nine years of age, was found murdered...which came on the heels of my having to learn, only a few days prior, about a precious seven-year old child, Summer, having been murdered...and, it was against this backdrop of my heart's grief that I was so outraged that Joy would ask Clarence Clemens how many women he'd slept with! Society, as a whole, is appalled when we hear about these heinous crimes against our...
litte ones...AND there is no "normal" person that would not define such a one...who would commit such a heinous crime...as "sick" and, yet, the reality is that society, as a whole, is "sick" and we don't seem to raise our voices against these TV shows that feed on people's sickness...because anything lacking in moral values is "sick"!!!
We never hear a Joy Behar ask what is the "meaning"..or "purpose"...
of life and, yet, had Michael Jackson "known" the answer to that question, he would still be alive today! People, like Michael Jackson, are "loved" by society because society loves to be entertained...to "feel good"...it "loves" a Joy Behar because she, too, makes them "feel good"...because she makes them laugh...and while Scripture tells us that laughter...merriment...is good medicine...it is NOT the reason that we live and breathe...and, yet, it becomes the reason some live and breathe...and, taken to its extreme, we find child sex molestors who are willing to kill a child to "feel good" for a few brief moments! One is either a part of the "problem" of this malaise...doing what one does to feel good...no matter what the cost...or he is a part of the "problem" of this malaise and, I am afraid, I would have to say that the Joy Behar Show is a part of the problem of this malaise...which is WHY I define it as lacking in "class"...our Lord's brand of class!

To try and find out why, despite the millions who ‘loved’ him, his cry for help was missed?

‘Michael Jackson never had the inner strength to overcome his demons’ is what someone said,
And, friends, do you know that this is the reason that Michael Jackson is now dead?

Because I said that, ‘you shall know the truth and the truth (from demons) shall set you free’,
And ‘My (overcoming) power is made perfect in your weakness’ because ‘My grace is sufficient for thee.’

And, according to the One Who created you, what one needs to have mental, and emotional, health,
Has nothing to do with fame, superstardom, or wealth.

During his memorial service, ‘we love you, Michael’, were so many of his fans crying,
And, yet, the love of his fans was not enough to prevent Michael from dying!

Unlike this superficial love of his fans, My love that, for Michael, shed its blood on Calvary,
Could have prevented Michael from dying if, instead of being spiritually blind, he could see

What I meant when I said, ‘I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly’,
Because, friends, the ‘abundant’ life is not the ‘good’ life, you see,

Because the abundant life is spiritual life that one receives
Upon being indwelt by the Holy Spirt when, in Me, he believes.

That God made man to live life on, not a two-dimensional level, but three,
Is the truth that Michael, and most of Show Biz, is too spiritually blind to see,

Because, besides a body and soul, God created man with a spirit as well,
And, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, it was their spirit that died when they fell.

And it is because, since that day, everyone is born into the world with a spirit that is dead,
That ‘unless a man (his spirit) be born again, he cannot inherit the kingdom of God’ is what I said.

‘Michael Jackson only wanted to bring healing to his world’ is what so many of you cried,
And, yet, it was because he, himself, was in need of so much healing that he died!

‘One cannot give something to someone that he, himself, does not possess’ is what someone once said,
And, if this is true, then it is also true that, had Michael brought true healing to his world, he would now not be dead.

That your body needs food, sleep, and exercise as well,
Is what most of you, to our sick world, is able to tell.

That your soul (which includes your mind, will and emotions) needs love and human intimacy
Is also a reality that most of you can see.........

However, when it comes to what the needs of your spirit are, you don’t have a clue,

You strive and strive to, through entertainment, give my world transitory pleasures,
While all the while what My world really needs is Me and what are My spiritual treasures.

My purpose for your lives is that you grow in the knowledge of Me and, with Me become one....

And since the very PURPOSE of your lives is to, with Us, share this kind of intimacy,

No, all he cared about was that, while his fans were applauding his life, his life had broken My heart,
Because, when it came to bringing the Good News of My Gospel to My dying world, he failed to do his part.

Michel learned too late that he who is a superstar in the world’s eyes is not who is a superstar in My eyes,
And, oh how tragic...how very tragic... it is that your superstars only do learn this when he, or she, dies.

Is there but one among you who is NOT going to learn this truth before it’s too late,
Or, instead, will you be among the ones who continue to share what has been your earthly kings’ fate?”

I am going to try to say what I have to say in a very Simple and Easy to Follow Manner, for certain persons who may have trouble keeping up. My apologies in advance to the rest of you.
In my aforementioned post, I referred to Anne Coulter's opinions and overall agenda as being 'Anti-American'. This, in addition to being (and I never thought I would have to point this out, but this is MY OPINION~I'm not presuming to be channeling the Voice of GOD or anything) true, is also what some of us would think of as being IRONIC. Because, you see, 'Anti-American' is the label that has been, randomly and with great enthusiasm, slapped upon anyone who dares to disagree with Coulter, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc.~the whole gang of defenders of the scary, slimy 'Neo-Conservatives' that spent the last eight years running the country. These are the people who, if anyone disagreed with them, questioned the logic of the extremely major decisions that were being made and carried out in OUR names, made an attempt to protest the direction the country was being taken in, as is the right of any citizen, called us, 'Anti-American'. And a lot of other things. These are the people who said that we should not be ALLOWED to disagree with the President during wartime~they said it made us 'Anti-American'.

In my post, I said: "Anyone who believes that every other opinion than their own should be supressed....is Anti-American." It's up there, #110 from the top. You can go check it. Now, without deconstructing and explaining the meaning of that sentence, I think anyone with even a third grader's command of the English language would agree that what that means is: I believe that EVERYONE has the right to express their opinion, whether I happen to agree with it or not. You can search every post I have submitted on this topic or any other, and you will not find A SINGLE WORD from me that implies that other people don't have a right to their opinion. And, since I had a better command of the English language than a third grader when I WAS one, I don't write sentences that don't make sense, nor do I say things that I don't mean.

Why do I think it's so important that EVERYONE be allowed to express their opinion? Three reasons. One, I've read a thing or two about history and current events, not just that of our country, and not just one point of view, but many and about the whole big world. And I know what can and DOES happen to a society when free speech is made criminal. Look it up. Two, I am confident enough in my viewpoint~I CAN back it up with facts in a debate if necessary~not to be frightened of other people's opinions, even if they are the opposite of mine. And three, much as I hate Fox News, for example, I believe that it's better to let them talk: they reveal more about themselves, their motivations and their dirty methods, than they know. And reasonable people, of which there are many, will see this for what it is~it's really the only way.

I felt that to be a ridiculous statement and called her on it.

Well, although she has yet to provide any proof that the whole TelePrompter accusation wasn't just something she heard Biff say at last weekend's Homecoming Kegger, boy, did she ever let me have it. You say she is 'intelligent and well-informed about issues' yet you give not a single example. What did she say that you liked and agreed with? You don't say. I certainly don't mind a bit if you don't agree with me~that is your right, as it is your right to worship Anne Coulter if you so choose. I just hope for your sake that you are actually making sure you aren't just impressed with someone who is telling you what you want to believe.

Hey, I can dig it. It would be a whole lot more pleasant to believe the kind of stuff that A.C. says: she not only reduces everything to a simple good guys vs. bad guys formula, she tells you that people who have bad lives deserve it, and that everywhere besides America sucks. I'm just telling you: before you buy into that, you might want to check out for yourself who she is, what she stands to gain by saying that, and whether she really is 'well-informed'. You might find you agree with her on some issues and not on others. Also, you might want to read my post submitted at 3:38pmET~#131. I pointed out that Joy needs to stop letting Anne upset her so much if she's going to keep having her on her show~the point of lively debate is to get the audience thinking and talking about the issues at hand, and Anne Coulter is very good at pushing Joy's buttons and it does defeat the purpose~it just ends up pissing people off or else making Anne's fans feel as though she 'won'. It isn't any more valuable than watching her as a guest on Bill O'Reilly, where they just sit there agreeing with each other and by the end he's practically sitting in her lap licking her face.

But that doesn't frustrate me~Anne Coulter doesn't frustrate me, because I know that even the Janies of the world will, if they really care about other people and the world, will see through her eventually. Oh, and by the way, Janie, the thing about selling you the Brooklyn Bridge? That's an old expression~I wasn't really offering to sell it to you and am aware I don't own it. It means: 'Stop being so gullible.'

You could be addressing the REAL problems we are facing as a planet, rather than helping them rearrange the deck furniture on the Titanic.

You are obviously concerned about your viewers being offended by having Anne Coulter on your show, or why else would you have asked her at the beginning of the interview to help you with a response when they question why you have her on the show?

Most doctors do not belong to the AMA , as it is with nurses. Most nurses (RNs) to not belong to the ANA that is the American Nurses Ass.We can't afford the dues and they do nothing for us in the trenches. Most doctors I work with do not like the health care reform as it is, they do know that there is a need for reform but not what is being stated at this time. As an RN we see first hand the abuses in health care. The craziness of government involvement. I could tell you stories of the nonsense with Medicare rules etc. Something needs to change but let us hope that there is not a government take over. We have enough issues with the government as it is.

As for Fox news; I watch Fox for most of my news, I voted for Obama. Fox is the most balanced of the news organizations as far as I am concerned, yes they have several loons but you can even learn a few things from the loons and they are not afraid to have differing views debated. You can not say that for MSNBC who only gives on prespective. Cnn is my second choice for news, I like Anderson Cooper and his level headedness.This business with Pres. Obama and Fox news is trite and it is sickening to watch. At this point I hope there are a few good candidates three years from now. I hope the President graduates from the 8th grade girls club and gets on with the business of this country.

Just watched the "interview" with Joy and Ann. i am not a fan of Ann's but I have to say that I was absolutely disgusted with the way Joy conducted herself. I was a fan of Joy, but lately she is a big disappointment. She should stick to what she did best – being a comedian. not politics. I won't watch her anymore – in fact not on The View either. Now I am watching the Vidal interview and this is another joke. I have to turn the show off now.

Ann Coulter as evidenced by her demeanor over the years is seriously off balance emotionally. She is boring, silly, and a hideous smart ass know it all. To sit there a defend Bush and Carl Rowe is ludicrous when we all know Bush was stupid and Rowe was just simply Evil and use fear to get Bush elected. Why does she have such trash on her show; Ann Couler is simply a pig.

However, when Joy told Ann that Richard Belzer thinks she's a fascist, I think Ann tried to say then he must be a fascist, because she once said that you can always tell what a liberal is up to by what they accuse others of doing or being. Richard Belzer slipped up and showed his true colors last week when he edified Hitler during his interview with Joy. Joy didn't dig it, but she didn't call it like it was because she's so enthralled with the socialist-liberal agenda, just like the German people who couldn't see through Hitler until it was too late. I'm with Alric~there must be some conservatives out there someplace that are intelligent and fair, who might actually be informative, and provoke people to debate the issues in a productive way. Ann Coulter is one of a long list of people that do nothing but polarize everything into 'two sides'~nothing is even close to that simple, for one thing. And for another, it gives people a totally inaccurate picture of one another, even if in their better moments they know that it can't possibly be true.

I can't watch the View anymore, Elizabeth is just so uninformed, I don't mind a true debate, but enough with the Republican talking points...when Megan McCain was on, at least she sounded intelligent, and you could listen to her point of view. Hey, Ted #1: I assume from what you said you are a veteran. I thank you for that and I respect it. But neither Bush nor Cheney served in the armed forces even though they were both of fighting age and our country was at war and it was NOT because their birthdays came up lucky in the draft lottery. They were all for other people going, they thought Viet Nam was a great idea and everyone who protested it was a filthy piece of hippie commie garbage, but they themselves did not go. Yeah, I know Bush was in the Guard~when he bothered to show up, which was for like, one dentist appointment on the base.
So why are you defending them?
If the war in Iraq and Afganistan is such a great idea, why didn't the Bush girls sign up for the Army as soon as we started sending people their age over there? All of Roosevelt's kids were in the service during WW2~the future King of England and his kid brother have both done a hitch over in the desert.
And James~look, I voted for Obama, and I think he's a good, smart guy who is up to this job if people can just be reasonable about how long things take~and if the people who didn't vote for him would stop freaking out~I mean, okay, we get it, you don't like the guy.
