Surprisingly, I've lost weight! I'm 58 yrs old and have recently lost 38 lbs and am 2 lbs from my goal weight. After trying pretty much all of my adult life to achieve lasting, healthy weight loss, I've finally been successful. With the money flow slowing down here in the family, we had to do alot of cut backs. We let go the gym membership. I am a stress eater. So I have really put on the pounds. What would you suggest to help get the weight off.

Everyone might think i am weird for watching you Joy, but i am 15 years old and dieting is a big topic in high school. Lots of people always talk about it, and try to be skinny. Me, well im 5'something- (im not really sure, but im what you would call a normal height for a 15 year old) and i weigh 103 pounds. Lots of people think its easy staying the way i am but really, its hell. I have never been "fat" and i dont want to be . Its something that i see people get teased by and i dont want to get teased for that. Being a cheerleader is also an issue, I have to be in shape as well, but really its not easy. Im friends with a couple of overweight people and they talk about them wanting to loose weight all the time. i always skip a meal, usually dinner and i try to skip lunch. I am aware that its not healthy for me to be like this, but the reason is, i dont want to end up fat. I know this isnt really on the topic, but loosing weight is clearly an issue for most high schoolers.

How about addressing the issue of loosing weight for females, over 55 – 60 years old, diabetic, high blood pressure, and COPD? I think it is impossible. No one wants to address issues such as new hair styles for women my age, or fashion for women my age and "full-figure", much less some real help on loosing weight with a limited income. It would be nice to see some of this. I never miss your show and have watched you on The View for 11 years. See if we can't get some of this for the "average woman" out there! I know I'm not the only one! Thanks and I love your shows..........Yellow-Dog Democrat to the End!

Hi Joy,

I just wanted to send a quick note about my success so far with Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure Life Style Change. I've just finished the first week of Jorge's 12 week coaching program and lost 7lbs following his simple to use Carb Swap system.

Jorge has definitely done his research and boy does it make sense. I'm really looking forward to the next 11 weeks with a goal of losing 38 more pounds.

Joy...could not miss the opportunity to comment on the BFC program.
Have lost only a few lbs. this first week. But years of sugar cravings and carb loading are gone! No more afternoon nosedives ..no more miserable tummies. The opportunity to join this group could not have come at a worse time financially and yet its the BEST investment I ever made.
Jorge has brought such enthusiasim and absolute joy to healthy eating that it has become a research and learning tool for all.
For some odd eason his clients have become FRIENDS.
The e-mails and blogs.....the suggestions up and back...its is just amazing to note the supportivness among his clients

Hi Joy!! I am 46 and have lost 40 pounds on the Belly Fat Cure with Jorge Cruise!! I have NEVER in my life been able to follow any program on my own. This is now my new way of life and I feel better than I have in years!! Actually looking forward to 50! Who can say that?? Cancer runs in my family and I am a two time breast cancer survivor. Cutting sugar out of my diet is SO important in beating the longevity history for the women in my family!! Jorge is someone I will be forever grateful to for researching this and giving us information to empower us to be healthy!!!!! It's hard to change your way of thinking...but once you do.....you will NEVER look back!! TRUST ME!!

Just wanted the lady who complained about getting into shape after 60 being impossible to know it definitely is not. I'm sixty and I've just finished doing the first week of Jorge Cruise's plan. I didn't do it perfectly but I still lost 3lbs so far, but better than that, I've lost 4 inches of belly fat and an inch of my hips as well so I'm now down a size. All this in one week! I think what he says about sugar being the poison that is killing everyone is totally right. Suzanne Somers has said that for years too if you recall and now in her new book she talks about how it affects your chances of getting cancer as well. Jorge has worked out a very doable " lifestyle " way of eating. This is not a " diet " because with all the things you can eat you really never have to think about depriving yourself of anything again. I eat chocolate every day and drink wine with dinner. Who would call this a diet ! I'm looking forward to even better results as the weeks progress.

Hi Joy,

I just finished my first week of the Belly Fat Cure with Jorge Cruise. I lost 6 pounds! I have tried so many "diets" in the past. I don't ever remember losing 6 pounds in my first week.

The only other diet that I have ever been able to lose a significant amount of weight on is the Adkins diet. The biggest problem I had with the Adkins diet is that there were only a handful of foods that I could eat and I ate them over and over again. It also felt very restrictive because there were so many foods that I couldn't eat. I would never be able to sustain the Adkins diet forever. After stopping the Adkins, I had gained back all of the weight in about 8 months.

What I love about Jorge's program is that it gives you such an easy way to identify acceptable carbs. So you don't have to give up all carbs forever, you just have to make better choices and stay within the 15/6 rule each day. Following these guidelines has been extremely easy. Usually the first week of a diet is really tough. I usually feel like I am really hungry all the time and it is a struggle to keep myself from eating the foods that I shouldn't. This first week was nothing like that. I feel more full and satisfied than I did before I started the program. I may have had some cravings the first day or too, but now I no longer have cravings.

I am so excited that I found Jorge's program. I can't wait to claim back my health and my body! I think it is great that you are introducing this program to your audience. I know it is going to have a great impact on many people's lives!

Hi Joy,
I have to tell you about my experiences with The Belly Fat Cure. I just finished my first week with coaching from Jorge Cruise, and I have lost 4 lbs and 1 inch from my waist.

More importantly, I am already seeing positive health changes. I am 30 years old and have Type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol despite being physically active and what is considered to be a healthy weight. My doctors always are surprised that I have these health issues!

Since starting the plan a few weeks ago, I have already had less sugar cravings, lower blood sugar readings, and an amazing ability to stick to the plan. I am feeling wonderful and could not be happier with the program!

I feel better than I have in a really long time and am starting to feel like other people my age!

I am 47 and have been struggling for the past 5 years to lose weight. I workout daily and have been eating extremely well. But it wasn't until I started the Belly Fat Cure last week that I had success! I have lost 8 pounds in 1 week! What I thought was impossible has happened and I can't wait to see what happens this week.

I am a 47 year old mother of 5. I lost 5 pounds and 2" off my waist during the first week of Jorge Cruise's BFC program and I'm looking forward to the rest of my life. E-mail me in a year, 9 months after I finish my program with Jorge, and see how I'm doing! I can tell you right now that I'll still be lean and mean!

I was so worried about not eating my beloved sugar and my caffeine free diet cokes, but I can tell you that I have not had one headache! I have had a few cravings but they are few and far between now. I have wanted to give sugar the boot for years but have not had the courage. Jorge gave me the courage and the tools to make it happen for good.

It has become a total lifestyle change for me. My two teenagers that are still at home are looking at labels and are shocked at the amount of sugar they eat. I don't cook anything different for them or my husband and in a week it's catching on with them all. YEA! My kids are not overweight but they definately could make better snacking and drinking choices. They are savoring the last bit of soda pop in the house because they know when it's gone I'm not buying anymore. My husband is along for the ride and we'll see how much he looses. The first week he lost 3 pounds in (sort of) following my lead. This week he's taking it more seriously and asking me questions about the program.

It works and it needs to be a lifestyle change for everyone! The first 2 weeks are the hardest for me when I start anything different. Week one down, bring it on week 2!

I am one week into Jorge's "meal plan" and I lost 4.5lbs. I have 40 more to go. My family is taking a cruise in February to celebrate, my Mom making it through, chemo, surgery and radiation for breast cancer. It was a goal we set for her as we all step through the process. Looking at her and realizing how fragile life is, I need to be my "best self" for myself and my 6 year old daughter. As a divorced Mom it has been to easy to prioritize myself last on my list. Not anymore! With the help of Jorge and his team, I will be the healthiest one on that cruise and plan on continuing that for life! I want to be around for as much of my daughter's life as possible! Jorge's energy is infectious (no pun intended) and I will succeed! 11 more weeks to go!

Hot Damn I've lost 2" around my waist already and not one pound. Goes to show that your waist size it not always linked to your weight.

This format has been a godsend to me. Weekly live and online mentoring, easy to follow guidelines and an eye opening experience to say the least. I knew the dangers of high fructose corn syrup in everything but just sugars in general! Seriously, how smart can Americans be if we've let this happen to us.

Something needs to change about how we live our lives and what we accept into our homes and mouths. We (as in all of us) can make it change. All those companies out there, making crappy food will change what they make based on what the consumer is willing to buy. If we don't buy it, they won't make it!! It's a really easy concept, we just have to feel empowered and take the risk to put it into action. The country needs to start somewhere and Jorge has found a way to reach a lot of people, quickly.

I'm ready to risk it. The change needs to start with me and my family first.

Joy – Jorge Cruise is the best. I have yoyoed on diets all my life. After the birth of my fifth child, it became increasingly difficult. I won the costco 100, which gave me personal one on one coaching with Jorge. After 16 weeks (the first 8 with weekly meetings with Jorge) I lost 25 pounds. Here is the two biggies though. A. I eat ALLLLL the things I love and I dont have to count calories or points or starve myself. – its a way of life and I am not deprived of anything and I LOVE to eat! B. I have reduced my chance of dying early like many of my family members greatly. I never realized the harmful effects of sugar and I had no idea there was so much sugar in carbs until this program. Jorge taught me not only about making good choices, but why and how to make those choices. I am so grateful. Oh wait there is more – not only did I loose 25 pounds, but I went from a size 20/22 (depends on the pants) to a solid 14!!! Its all in the waist baby!!! Thats were all my "baby fat" was – I figured it was from having 5 kids in 7 years (though my husband had it too) but turns out its rotting poop from all the sugar. GROSS!!! Oh, and My husband has lost almost 30 on the plan, and my oldest two girls have also lost waist weight. JUST BY BEING AROUND US!!!

At 57 years old, I have finally lost weight (66 lbs) – mainly because I have found a passion in horses. Spending afternoons and weekends brushing horses, walking horses, training horses, and cleaning up after them – and not spending time in front of the TV and fridge – works wonders. Now I have joined Jorge Cruises Belly Fat Club to get rid of the fat under the skin. I lost 3 pounds in the 1st 3 days!

After week one I have dropped 5 pounds and 2 inches in my waist! I have not been hungry, have had more energy than I expected and have not felt deprived at all. I have had steak, lobster, tater tots, pastrami, chips, and I love the Joseph’s sugar free peanut butter cookies! Have you ever lost weight eating these items? I am so thankful that Jorge made his way into my life. I’m looking forward to the spring celebration so I can thank him in person.

I am 61 yrs old and just darn tired of looking fat. After a trip to the doctor recently, he told me to get on a program and stop messing around. I just started Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure and I cannot tell you how very impressed I am with Jorge and the program. I have lost 6 lbs the first week. It makes more sense than any other program or diet I have been on and find it amazingly easy to follow.
I have gotten my husband to throw away the pinkies....and stop bringing candy into the house. He is following it as well.
We use to eat out almost every day and now I am enjoying eating at home more and making good choices. I am eating food I love and have just started counting my sugars and carbs appropriately.
Jorge is one of the most responsive people I have ever met , and love the program. It is truly life changing and am in week 2 and excited to make more changes. Love Jorge and Love you, too, Joy!

I've just started Jorge Cruise' coaching program. It's great for those of us who are struggling with weight loss. Jorge is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and has a great program that is jammed packed with meaningful information and techniques we can apply right away; he is literally holding us by the hand to get us started and that is what we need. The program is not that expensive compared to some of the other weight loss programs and we can participate in the classes from the comfort of our own home via steaming video. I can't wait to see the results I get by January.

Hi Jorge,
Starting my second week on your belly fat cure food plan and I feel like I am doing well. I am 71 years old and have been carrying around an extra 30 lbs since I quit smoking 5 years ago. In just one week I have lost over 2inches around my waist and a little over 4.5 lbs. I was hoping for more wt loss the first week but all in all I am very pleased.

Hi Joy and Jorge,

I'll be tuning in tomorrow night to see if the debate in my mind is answered in regard to making a lifestyle change for this is what it boils down to because as Jorge says this is NOT a diet but rather a choice on how to live.

My debate boils down to simply this: Carbs/Sugar reduction (aka Atkins/South Beach/ BellyFat) vs. Balanced Eating Habits

In Jorge's program we are exchanging the Bad Belly Fat for Good Belly Foods. But what makes the exchange of what seems like one bad food product to another good? Such as sugar/carbs FOR protein or fat? Is this just another fad? In the end will raw foods and all natural products win out and we will have to be content with eating grass and nuts to be really healthy?

While I understand reducing carbs and sugars is a good thing, how can replacing it with fat or proteing of red meats such as bacon and butter be good?

I began Jorge's diet a week ago today. I lost 4 pounds. I am also 60. I felt like this was my last chance and decided to dedicate myself to this. It has actually been so easy. I get to eat cheese, and butter, and mayonnaise that I have avoided forever! Jorge armed us with the info we needed to be successful and it has been so easy. I have tried Nutra System and LA Weight Loss in the past, and had success, but this is so much easier. I've eliminated a great deal of sugar, to meet Jorge's guide lines, and Diet Cokes both, but with the products he told us about it was no problem. Today I bought artichokes for the first time in my life and had to Google how to cook them, but I'm so enthusiastic about eating healthy. At my age, and 60 pounds over weight, I am a heart attack, stroke, or diabetic patient in the making. I was scared, and depressed. I have a new outlook. And did I say, it's so easy ; )

I recently have been turned on to Jorge Cruise and his Belly Fat Cure Coaching program. I started the program a week late due to travel, but have caught up to the lessons this week. In just two sessions, I have learned so much from Jorge. His enthusiasm and genuine spirit to assist us in reaching our goals is infectious. His no nonsense approach to food and what we put in our bodies that trigger insulin production makes sense to me. The meals are easy to make. With Jorge's tuttledge, it is so easy navigate my day count sugar & carb intake rather than counting calories and fat intake. I love the keepin it simple approach that you can do on the road or at home.

I was so glad to hear you will have him on your progam and look forward to hearing more of what he has to say.

I was on Weight Watchers the first time when I was in 1st grade!! needless to say I have struggled with my weight my whole life! I am encouraged by Jorges 12 Week Porgram!! I lost 3 lb in the first week with my "cycle" So suspect this week will be an even bigger sucess!! I have 60 lb to loose I am 5'10 and 44. I love how simple it is to follow and it is truely amazing how much sugar a person consumes in a day!!

Just finished the 1st week with Jorge Cruise. What I learned is where all the sugar is...it's almost in everything. What an education! I'm not a sweet eater at all – and was mystified on my weight....Well, one week with Jorge I have more energy – lost 5 lbs – no inches around the waist yet. Feeling terrific. It's not really a "diet" per se but a very different way of looking at sugar and carbs.

Having been "round" all of my life and trying a wide variety of programs, I see this as a topic that will never go away-at least not here in America. Though I must say I only once tried one where I had to go in a weigh myself with a group-never again- I am successfully trying out Jorge's Belly Fat Cure. The best part is that I can figure it out on the fly at the out to lunch at work times, and I don't have to share with everyone else that i am trying yet another program to get healthier. Also in 1 week lost 8 lbs and 4 inches in the belly.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this lifestyle .. thank goodness he showed us the YES foods. Before signing up for the personal coaching, I would walk into the grocery store and ask for help in finding low to no sugar items, you'd get this tilted head looking at you with a bit of confusion which combined with my own seemed daunting. But now, I am a pro thanks to Jorge and Kim, their personal coaching works wonders! Inches off in a week and I walk lighter! Thanks Jorge and Kim for being there always, the VIP coaching is a true blessing! While there is less of me physically, there's more of me because I AM HAPPY!

dear joy god has sent me personally jeorge cruise i has a gastic by pass 8 years ago and almost died due to complications. i lost 150 lbs but unfortoornly put back 50 plus lbs . on my first week of the belly fat plan i lost 5 lbs. thank god thanks for letting me share lol brenda

I started the Belly Fat Cure in July after reading about it in the Costco Connection. Shortly thereafter in August I visited my doctor on an unrelated matter. I had lost 11 lbs since my previous visit in April.

Since then, I have lost a total of 24 lbs and at least two inches off my waist. I had to buy new pants because my old ones kept sliding down, and then a new belt because I had run out of notches in the right direction. I still have about 40 lbs to lose, but I am psyched because this is the easiest program I have ever been on. I di Atkins several years ago and all that happened is I got kidney stones. Ouch!

I travel all the time on business, so I eat out practically all the time. I have found foods compliant with Jorge's formula everywhere as long as I am vigilant about declining hidden sugar and excessive refined carbohydrates. The 12 week coaching program has been very beneficial in this regard.

My wife has also started the program and is losing weight, but not as fast as I did. Still she is making good progress. I am hopeful that this is going to put some new spark into our marriage. I am 55 years of age and have battled with obesity for more than 30 years.

I'm 53, successfully did Jenny Craig a few years until I stopped buying their food – then all 35 pounds came back. Started the Belly Fat Cure 7 days ago. Not sure home much wieght I've lost, but have dropped 2 inches from my waist – and I was not "perfect" by any means. One thing that I think is going to really make a difference is that I'm required to think from the start – looking at labels, keeping track of sugar and carbs. It's not hard, just requires some thought. In the past I thought I was doing a pretty good job of watching what I ate, but really love what the program is doing.

After being on Jorge Cruise's Bell Fat Coaching Program for one week, I have lost 6 pounds. The program is easy to use and obviously produces results. This is the best investment I have made in myself. As a result of my participation in the program, my family is also reaping the rewards. This has become a life style change for the whole family!

After the first week on the Belly Fat Cure, I lost 6 pounds and 3 " in my waist! Most importantly, I feel better!! No real cravings, no headaches – more energy, more success. I went to the gym only twice, and went out to dinner three times. I can bring the food to work with ease, and if I am running late in the morning, I can even grab a bite at McDonald's. This is so do-able!!

I have lost 7 lbs and 1 inch in just one week. Today I tried on a pair of jeans that were too tight a week ago and I could not button or zip them up, but today I am wearing them and they feel good.
Jorge is a great coach and the BFC makes so much sense and I'm never hungry and feel so much better since getting the bad sugar out of my system. And I can still have a little chocolate and alcohol in the evening...

My story is typical... 20-30 lbs overweight (mostly in the belly) and tried all of the popular diets out there. Diets that eliminate carbs (which worked but gained it back) & diets that limit calories (which works but gained it back & more). I increased my excercise, which has made me strong but no weight loss. I have been more frustrated that I can say.

Finally, I have found The Belly Fat Cure & Jorge. I have learned how much sugar I was eating without even knowing it (sometimes 50-60 gms a day). All of the "hidden" sugars in the American diet are ridiculous! Jorge has taught how to simply identify healthy carbs and eleiminate the sugar. In one week I have followed his 15/6 Carb Swap program & lost 5 lbs and 1.5 inches from my belly! No counting calories and no feeling deprived or hungry. This is a way of eating that I can live with FOREVER!

Thanks Jorge, for doing all of this research & giving me a chance at a healthy belly fat – free life! :>)

I have a question regarding portions, even if we are eating healthy if a person has been accustomed to eating a large plate of food, how does one cut down the portions without the person feeling hungry?

6 lbs and 2 inches off belly (my first week) with Jorge Cruise diet program. So far I'm pretty happy. Didn't know I was ingesting so much sugar. That awareness alone has probably saved my health.

I have hope from Jorge that getting rid of sugar and all the bad substitutes will help me lose this terrible belly fat I've carrying around for 28 years. I lost 2" and 2 lbs the first week and didn't suffer. Plus the info about the BM's was having a light bulb go on –getting the fiber and SoBe tonite.

I am a member of Jorge Cruise's BFC 12 week program. It is shocking how much sugar we are saturated with by manufacturers. After watching Jorge's "Death by Sugar" video, I will never eat sugar products that cause those affects again.

This eating approach makes sense and is completely satisfying. I call it an "approach" rather than a "diet" because I am not overweight and I don't ever want to be overweight, so the BFC program caught my attendtion. I am healthy, run at least five times a week (because I want to!) and am 50 years old.

I agree wholeheartedly with Debbie's comments above. We need to demand change in the mainstream and not have to search high and low and order "specialty" products at a premium price because we can't get them from our local grocery store. Take a look at the people around you and it's easy to see the affects sugar has had.

Dearest Joy,

Just heard you are going to be hosting a God send for many of us on his Belly Fat Cure, Jorge Cruise. At 41, I have finally found a new lifestyle of eating that I am certain will help me reach of goal of living to 100 years of age! I get teary eyed just thinking about how many times I have tried to achieve a healthy weight but no one ever explained it this way. In the past, I have counted calories, minutes at the gym, fat grams, carbs, but I never gave SUGAR any thought.

Please help Jorge get his message across because he can help so many people save themselves from certain death. He has done the research for all of us. And it makes sense! I hope your viewers will give his Belly Fat Cure a chance. They will be transformed!

I just started my second coaching session with Jorge Cruise and wanted to tell you how wonderful his program is. If there is a diet program, I have done it, over and over. Since April 17th. I have loss 40 pounds and ten inches on Jorge's program and I am totally amazed. Never before have I been able to lose more than 10 – 15 pounds per program tired. Best of all, my health is 100% better. I am 63, have Lupus FM, high blood pressure and have had several heart "events". Since most days require none. Previously, it was two pills every fours hours 24/7. Blood pressure is normal, heart events are zero and all my over-the-top blood counts are back to normal. I have to admit, it is the removal of sugar and high carbs from my diet that have made the difference. Okay, maybe Jorge's passion for the Belly Fat Cure also had a thing or two to do with it. I started the belly fat cure when Jorge first started talking about it on his web site. I was 49 yrs old, 5ft 8 inches, 138lbs, measurements around hip 39in, waist 30in., mother of six children. Now still 49, but I weigh 124, 35.5in hip, 27in waist. I can wear my teenage girls' jeans. Lunch today was broccoli cauliflower soup made with almond milk, organic chicken broth, and lots of cheese and a flat bread pizza. I am stuffed. Sugar 2 grams, Carbs 2 serving. Breakfast was three eggs, two sausage patties, and a slice of toast with butter, Sugar 0 grams Carbs 1 serving. I have 13 grams of sugar and 3 servings of carbs. to finish out my day. EASY EASY EASY. No more pauch!

51 yrs young and stage IV uterine survivor. Cancer free since May 1 2008 when I finished treatment. No guidance on nutrition, supplements, etc from docs during treatment. I gained 27# from surgical menopause and chemo. Also became hypothryoid. Tried so many things I decided I would never have a cute 'girl figure' again. One week and 2 1/2" off waist and 5 pounds. I ate pretty healthy before but this program took me to the next level and the final tweeking I needed. So very simple to do – who wouldn't want to try it for a week?? Wine, chocolate, delish food, easy to eat out or cook at home plus certain frozen meals and fast food. Love it and have been telling all my friends.

Been YEARS since a beer...and I don't even CARE about drinking, it's just that I can HAVE one knowing PRECISELY and EXACTLY how it fits into Jorge's lifestyle eating...and my new lifestyle eating.

It's FUN, too, going to the grocery store and looking at an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT set of data on the labels. To heck with the fat! To heck with calories!

I'm feeling sated, am losing pounds, and may just become athletic in these 'foundation years' for Elderdom...which Jorge is helping lots of us redo.

II have just finished week one with Jorge, I feel so much better, I have been amazed at all the hidden sugar and carbs, I did this more to help my horrible digestive problems, but have lost weight and inches,
I know by being more aware of counting, reading labels, and paying attention to every bite, I don't crave anything.

Jorge is the best. He is a very caring individual. He is so energetic it is freakin contagious. You can actually feel that he wants to improve the health of everyone in the world. He provides the science behind the method so you can understand why this program is the way it is.
This program lets you be in charge of yourself, and you choose the foods and the menus. Joy, I have been dieting for YEARS , depriving myself of my fave foods. I am now eating buttah, chawklit, bredd, cheezezz,. 3 eggs for breakfast !!, and the like. I'm having a bit of trouble adjusting so I only lost 2 pounds my first week, but it's better than gaining as I did on every other diet. Next week I'll do better and really get into the method of this. And Jorge is right there with me, with motivational videos, exercise tips, cooking classes, PDFs, realtime vids and so much stuff that it's alot of fun. He's not so bad lookin either. :) His wife and kids are cute as well. And they follow this eating plan too! So glad I found the Belly Fat Cure. Can't wait for his book in 2010. Greetings...Being a 66 yr old woman and gaining over a 100lbs this last 5 yrs from a desk job has really FRUSTRATED me to no end! I have spent thousands of dollars on 'diets' 'food programs' 'equipment' etc...over the years...We eat 'healthy' I thought but didn't realize how much SUGAR was in a lot of the foods we ate...I even bought several of Jorge Cruise's books but the exercises were too challenging for me (hard to fold a grapefruit)...However I recently 'retired from the work force' and received the opportunity to join the 12 week BFC...I told my husband about it and he said if I would do it then the cost was not an issue. We are also on a limited income now so I was rather surprised...
The first couple of days I had a breakfast shake that I always make ahead for a quick breakfast that blew my sugar for the day but for fun that Friday I got on the scale and had lost '6 lbs'...it is so EASY to follow the BFC program and I'm home all day most of the time and am not 'eating' the day away...eliminating the ;sugar' hasn't been that hard for me and I'm an M&M addict! (none in the house now)...I'm looking forward to when we can add fruit to our eating because that's what I miss the most...
Even if you can't do the 'Online Coaching" with Jorge...just ELIMINATE SURGAR from your diet and see what happens!

I am always satiated, can still have my wine, and don't have any sweet cravings even though I have a big sweet tooth. It's a fantastic program that allows you to make smarter, healthier choices and is definitely a lifestyle change.

Hi Joy: I have just finished my first full week on Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure 12 week live coaching session. It has been an all new experience for me. This is the first program that has really clicked with me. And I have tried them all. Jorge has really done his research, I learn so much from him. He is informative, inspirational and very energetic in relaying his messages. His program is very easy to follow. Some of the ease comes with food cravings being low and when you do crave something, he has suggestions for healthful substitutions that are easy and tasty and satisfying.

I have lost 5 pounds and 1" off my waist this week. Fantastic for a 53 year old. I have more energy and vitality. I do not consider this a diet, but my new way of life. Since I do not see this as a diet that I finish one day, I am having fun finding healthful foods and products that I can incorporate into my life from now on. I am 49 and in peri-menopause. I have gained weight in the last few months WITHOUT eating crap. If anything, I don't eat enough – most days, 1 meal a day, which I am now learning may be the problem.

I am 52 yrs old and have gained an extra 25 pounds due to my age and a thyroid condition. I tried the body bugg program and for the most part I ate 1300 calories per day and exercised to burn 2500+ calories per day. For the most part I only lost .5-1 pound per week. I stuck with it and lost 18lbs. Of course I gained them back. Now, after starting The Belly Fat Cure I have lost 6 pounds in just one week! I'm energized and excited to see what comes next.

1) you are telling us to watch out for sugar and carb and sc value, but what about the other aspect that affects our body, forgetting the calorie as you mentioned, what about fat(trans fat & saturated fat) and cholesterol, can you please tell us what to look out for in that aspect?

Joy, just a note on diets in genera, it is my belief that the number 1 needed tool to loose weight is self discipline, there are numerous diets on the internet, tv, in book stores and everywhere you look, but honestly if a person will cut back the junk and replace sodas with water and just do a little exercise such as walking, you are going to loose weight, isn't that what all these diets and so called weight programs promote. loosing weight is not that diffulct nor does it have to be that expensive. I have cut out the sweets and watched portion control and have lost weight, now I add exercise and will loose more. what people need is more education on maybe exercise itself and weight training and how to self motivate ther own self..

Losing weight, especially if you are 50+, is hard to do. I'd recommend a lifestyle change, like Jorge Crusie's "Belly Fat Cure". I've been trying to lose weight for 6 months and have tried multiple "diets". I've been on Jorge's program for a week and have lost 3Lbs.

The beauty of the program is that Jorge shows you HOW to make the correct food choices: at home, at a restaurant – even fast food. With his program you learn how what you eat affects not only your weight but your physiology. The truth is. I am eating more food on his program than I have eaten in years – its amazing. I get to drink wine and eat chocolate again!

A big plus about the 12 week program is Jorge. He's charming, inspirational, and he seems sincerely engaged in his students success. Jorge has given us the tools for success!

Hi Joy! I'm awaiting Jorge's book and I've been following the 15/6 rule just based on reading Jorge's "Belly Fat Cure Report." My question is: how do I know I'm getting the correct amounts of nutrients daily (ie: milk has lots of natural sugar so where do I get my clacium? If through cheese, than I'm getting too much sodium a day.) Is there a limit to how much protein to eat – do I follow the food pyramid?

Why with families struggling to put food on the table these days and the obesity rate soaring are all "healthy" foods so expensive? Seems in order to lose weight or just be able to eat healthy you have to be rich anymore. I need to lose alot of weight and want to keep my kids from ever having to struggle with their weight like I do but dont have the money to always buy the good stuff. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I would love some suggestions from Jorge on how I can lose my belly fat without losing weight anywhere else. I'm 5'4" and 113 lbs, and 53 yrs. old. Whenever I try to eat less to lose the belly fat, I lose too much weight elsewhere, then I feel too skinny. I am also going through menopause which I realize adds to the belly fat issue. I am waiting for his book to come out toknow his secret because he is selling special coaching with him for $600.00 a membership. I don't know if this is a bargain or not. In today's economy I do feel that $600. is over the top when every dollar counts.

Tomorrow evening you will be sitting down with Jorge Cruise discussing the Belly Fat Cure program. A short intro to myself: I am 37, I have been dieting for the last 22 years. I am 5' 2" tall. I have been as small as 112 lbs in my mid twenties. This month, I have been as heavy as 200 lbs. I am morbidly obese. To die is to diet. On diets you never can eat anything and literally seem to starve yourself of foods you can enjoy. As of today, after being on Jorge's Belly Fate Cure regiment (notice I state regiment rather than diet), I am able to eat both carbs and sugars, but only in healthy proportions. I have been on the program now for a 9 days and I have lost 7 lbs. This may not seem like a lot, however, in the last 6 months I have maintained my obese weight without loosing anything. Worse yet, I was not able to sit down and eat with my family because the diets I was on did not allow me to eat what they were eating (carbs and sugars). Jorge is a genuine person who wants to help others become healthy. The Belly Fat Cure is working for me and others. I highly recommend this program for everyone especially those who are giving up or have given up on loosing weight to live longer healthier lives. Even though the main goal of the program is to eat healthy to be healthy, one thing that has happened for me is: In Alaska where I live we have 24 hours of sunlight in the summer towards the end of June. But coming into December and January we have 3 to 4 hours of sunlight in a day. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) sets in. Alaskans are notorious from suffering from SAD and severe depression, I too have been one of those people. However, in the last week I have noticed a change in my attitude, my mood, and my health. Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure program has changed my life. Never will I be overweight again! I had an opportunity to meet Jorge in Feb. 09, and I've been following his plan since.

I have lost 30 lbs so far on this plan, and I plan to lose more. I will continue to eat this way the rest of my life. I can still eat chocolate, wine, Doritos, bread, pasta...whatever! I don't have to write down anything. The only thing to be acutely aware if is watching sugar intake. There is so much hidden sugar in processed foods, most people do not realize how dangerous high levels of sugar intake is.

I'm never hungry, never feel deprived. I feel amazing!! I get to do a photo shoot with a national women's magazine this Friday afternoon...all because of Jorge!

I have 3 of your books but I'm not consistent.
Question: 12 second sequence. I'm on week 4 of the exercises. When I'm finished with the 8 weeks, do I start over?
I have lost 3 pounds so far.. I have over 20 more to go. I'm 54.

Hi Joy,

I just wanted to share that not only does Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure program work, it works REALLY WELL! I've been on the program since the end of April and to date I have lost 65 pounds and 10 inches off my waist. I am literally 23% smaller than I was at the start of the year.

I was able to achieve these results without exercising. I am hopeless when it comes to cooking so most of my meals come from restaurants. A good portion of those meals come from fast food restaurants. I also work during the middle of the night and am not able to keep set times for meals. Despite these excuses I have had tremendous success with the Belly Fat Cure program. If I can do it, anyone can.

I would estimate that I used to eat anywhere between 200 and 600 grams of sugar per day before I started the program because the food industry doesn't tell you how bad sugar is. Since limiting my sugar intake to 15 grams or less per day, the weight has literally been falling off with little effort. I can't thank Jorge enough for teaching me how to properly eat. Without Jorge's intervention, I would still be on the fast track to diabetes, cancer, and an early death. Jorge has literally given me back control over my life.

Joy, I am grateful you are going to speak about health and diet – and I am especially grateful you are going to speak with Jorge. I deal with so many of the issues that make people feel dieting will not help – I am post-menopausal, have multiple chronic health disabilities and challenging financial and life issues to juggle. And I can tell you flat out it is true – dieting will not help. But learning to understand and use food as medicine and a source of health definitely will! In just one week on the sugar awareness lifestyle he espouses, I have not just lost weight but GAINED ENERGY! Strength, stamina and energy such that I am honestly astounded! I am greatful for the Belly Fat Cure. I am 51 and I am in the best shape of my life. Been on BFC since January. I lost 18 lbs, my gut, and chol. went down 20 points and tryglicerides were cut in half..

It's easy to follow and Jorge and team are amazing.

The book, coming out the end of the year, will be a smashing success.

I have never had a major problem with my weight, however recently I have put on 10lbs more than my heaviest ever. My husband and I are healthy eaters and I am at a loss on how to get rid of my now bellyfat without starving myself. I missed the 12 weeks program and would like to know where I could get the information to use Jorge's bellyfat cure.

I have been on Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure for one week now. I have lost 5 lbs and 2" so far. I have noticed that I feel better. (Less fatigue and more mental clarity) Also, I have not been hungry. Less food totally satisfies me. Haven't had many sugar cravings, but when I do Clemmys (no sugar) ice cream takes care of it right away. I am sleeping better too.

I am thrilled that there are not many restrictions. Just sugar and carbs. It really fits into my life style and is so different from a diet. You just have to make the right choices. It is like a game. I feel so very confident that I am going to be successful and I look forward to the new healthy me!

I can't begin to thank Jorge and his team for putting this together for all of us. We are so lucky to be a part of his 12 week program. His energy is infectious and the VIPCoaching is phenomenal.

Hi Joy,
I'm a Life Coach, Fitness Instructor and Occupational Therapist. All of my life I have worked really hard to keep my belly under control. You know to look the role of someone healthy. I can't tell you how many exercise techniques and diets I have tried to keep it together. I even coach people on portion control and I'm very good at it myself but this just wasn't enough. After injuring my back and becoming pregnant shortly after. Words can not explain how stress and life can take a toll on you. The amount of sugar in foods is unbelievable, it can make you eat out of control. Jorge's program to say the most, gives me hope!!!. I'm not on that sugar roller coaster all day like before and I've lost 3 lbs in 6 days. I continually remain hopeful that I will have my prepregnancy belly back in no time.
Jorge is a life saver.

BIGGEST SKEPTIC EVER! I'm an ICU nurse, very versed in the Dr. Oz, Dr. Andrew Weil info, and have been on the anti sugar band wagon ever since Bob Greene's Best Life Diet. But I have to say, I did not have the knowledge until I committed my husband and I to "The Belly Fat Cure." Jorge is energetic, and gets his facts across to his audience with passionate enthusiasm. My husband and I are losing inches, and feeling better than ever. We are both 47 and are enjoying healthier meals than we have eaten in years. Whole grains, a lean variety of proteins, wine and beautiful dark chocolate in the evenings.
Our cravings are gone and we are both getting compliments on how we look, after only 10 days! I know my girl Jillian Michaels will not agree, but working out is not synonymous with weight loss. For us, it made us hungry and wanting to reward ourselves with FOOD. Working out is really important and necessary, but not for the singular goal of weight loss.

Joining the Belly Fat Cure Coaching Program was a very good thing as Martha Stewart would say. Jorge's program is very easy to understand and follow. I learned how to read food labels, and was surprised at the amount of sugar in a small portion of Activia yogourt (14 grams).

I am 61 years old, and have about 20 lbs to lose.

After only two weeks, I now feel empowered, thanks to Jorge.

The neverending question about alcohol consumption and dieting.

I miss having cocktails on ocassion and wine with dinner when I am dieting. Are there any alcoholic drinks at all that are suitable while dieting? I have lost 25 pounds but think I could lose faster if I quit sneaking in a drink or some wine here and there. I count these as calories and drink lots of water with, but am wondering if alcohol actually does slow down weight loss? By the way I love Jorge's 8 Minutes in the Morning book/program and his 8 Minutes in the Morning to a Flat Belly. Love your show too, Joy!

I just started the BFC 12 week course and in one week lost 5 pounds. You have to do alot of reading labels. You have to count carbs and know how much sugar is in the food you eat. I cut out the soda which is packed with sugar, and know I even watch what my children are eating. Its been a great learning experience for me and I will continue to learn and teach my family. With all the super saturated with sugar and salt food items sold at the supermarkets never mind food colorings, preservatives, and pesticides, what is there left for us as parents to feed our families?
Other than cooking every thing ourselves which is fine, are there any other healthy choices?

I just found a diet that has been around for a while – I just never knew about it before – It's called the Belly Fat Cure – with Jorge Cruise. I'm taking his on-line coaching class now – and it's incredible. It is so well organized – We get to be with him live while he first presents the info we need for that segment (over 12 weeks) – then he actually cooks in front of us – like a cooking show – explaining all kinds of things about the foods he is cooking while he cooks – then he takes our questions. I started loosing weight almost the first day. I know it sounds strange – but I'm not the only one – tons of people are loosing lots of weight their first and 2nd weeks, etc and we all have to eat quite a bit of food on this diet. We can even have candy, chocolate, ice cream, etc if we need a little – he shows us how. I'm /sure/ it's some kind of chemistry thing with the body he's figured out. He has a carb to sugar ratio he has us follow. And some other stuff.

Last night in class we saw this /awesome/ video of one of his clients, Ryan, having his blood taken and put under a /very/ powerful microscope both before he ate a lot of sugar and after. ..... It was amazing – it made me cry to see the difference and what happens to our blood when we eat a lot of sugar. If people could see that video – it would save thousands of lives. I highly recommend this diet – He knows a lot of stuff that's not mainstream yet.

Hi Joy,

I started the Belly Fat Cure back in November and have lost 60 pounds. Jorge with all his energy, showed us just how simple eating healthy can be. You don't have to sacrifice, but just modify. You can eat your dark chocolate and have a glass of wine and still lose weight. It's a wonderful program with a great coach and it becomes second nature after only a few weeks.

I was informed of your diet program by Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure program. I recently joined the online 12 week program that he is running and never even realized how much sugar is in virtually everything we eat. His education and information on how to reinvent the everyday things we eat with substitutions that are low/no sugar. The first couple of days were a little tough but after this first week I am down 6lbs and I am really feeling great!! Show him off!!

I have been following "The Belly Fat Cure" after being in his Costco 100...think I got picked bacause I was on weight watchers before and I was ALWAYS hungry. I am never hungry on this and can moniter carbs well. I lost 8 pounds but have fluctuated all the time. Thats the only thing that drives me nuts with this...I didn't fluctuate with weight watchers but I was starving. I have still been following "The Belly Fat Cure" for months now and I think my body has gotten used to it and I follow the 15/6 part of it. Now I am gaining instead of losing and I don't get it. I was at 140 starting and now I'm at 150.:C (SIgh) I eat exactly like he said to eat. I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

Just sending a little note to let you know just how amazing Jorge Cruise is. The Belly Fat Cure program is by far the BEST diet I've ever been on!! In only 6 short days, I have been able to lose 7.8 lbs with only restricting my sugar/carb intake to 15/6. It's amazing. I'm able to eat items that I was avoiding, because I thought I would gain weight on them! I didn't think that this program, "The Belly Fat Cure", would be all that it has been, but boy was I wrong!! I have recommended this program to at least 100 people since joining 6 days ago. I have people wanting me to "mentor" them on losing weight! Jorge Cruise has definitely been a Godsend in my life, as well as others.

I turned 65 in February, then ate a hunk of my leftover birthday cake larger than my head. Visions of Type 2 diabetes were lurking behind every corner when an article about Jose Cruise's Belly Fat Cure literally fell out of the mailbox into my hands. I went online, downloaded the plan, and over the course of 5 months, I've lost 49lbs! It's been easy and I feel great. Had my annual physical today and got an A+ from my doctor. I have 32 more pounds to go to reach my goal...to be the weight that's printed on my driver's license! One of the best things is the 10" I've lost from my middle (that was larger than a piece of plywood) and can fit in a booth again without my bosoms in my plate. And, I've done it all with a nice glass or two of wine now and then. Quitting sugar, even cosmopolitians, is one thing, but no wine? Get serious...I'd rather be old and fat. Jose made my life better!

I just had to let you know that Jorge Cruse has it right! I am on his twelve week program, and, in one week I have lost 6 pounds.....WITHOUT starving and counting calories. I constantly feel full. It is the easiest way for me to lose and keep losing. I have struggled to lose 60 pounds in the last 7 months, however, it was much more difficult than the program I am currently on. I have type 2 diabetes.....and, I have been able to keep my blood sugar levels correct with Jorge's plan.

His plan I will be able to follow the rest of my life and not feel deprived!

The food pyramid has fruits and vegetables as foods to eat plenty of rather than junk food. I love fruit and eat 4-6 helpings a day. Am I fooling myself because there is a lot of sugar in fruit and that's why I am not losing weight and am borderline diabetic (Type II)?

I've just completed the first week of Jorge's Belly Fat Cure program and lost 5#. Last night's web access was a show-stopper when Jorge talked about sugar and showed evidence of the severe, deadly damage sugar has on blood cells. I swear I never knew the extent of the impact that sugar has on the body. I knew it was bad; but not to the extent we saw last night. Yikes!! I've been telling everyone about BFC. And without fail, people look at me like I've gone off my rocker, saying there's no way anyone with a sweet tooth can stay within a daily range of 15g of sugar. But believe me, you sure can and it's easy. With Jorge's coaching, I'm never looking back.

A note about the Kenna James post.

She has doubted, questioned and down this lifestyle from day one of the program. I am really confused as to why she even signed up for the private coaching.

This is not a debate nor is it a who is right or wrong issue. The answer is extremely simple...give the program two weeks, see how much you lose and how much better you feel. If there is no difference go on to yet another program. Raw, organic and natural are not the end all to a healthy lifestyle. They just have a great PR agent and all the media attention.

My question to her is if the raw, organic and natural foods are so wonderful and work so well for you, why are you looking for alternative programs?

The JC, low sugar, low carb lifestyle works for those who try it and live it . She should try it for two weeks and then let us know how much weight she has loss and how much better she feels. Her answer would be the end of the debate!

I'm 60 next mth. Years ago I was a severe anorexic. The cure back then was to force you to eat. Did that and did it well with the doc patting on the back. Once I hit my weight plus a few pounds I was told "you're well". Yeah right, ...I got fat fat and my metabolism sucked. For the past 28 yrs. I've done every diet and every method out there . Sure I'd lose a few pounds (Atkins I lost 20) but none ever allowed me to continue losing weight without feeling starved or miserable. Weight would then pile on again (over 120 too many). I joined Jorge's 12 week program and I lost 5# the first week and the most important thing is..it's something I can do without a lot of work. Heck, my 80 yr. old mom is eating what I'm eating and she's lost 3#. Diabetes, obesity and heart disease runs in the family. We have IBS and we're doing great on the diet. The BEST thing about Jorge is he doesn't just give you a food list. JORGE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING, INCLUDING POOP AND HE'S THERE FOR US. Sure he has his crew but he still makes it seem like it's one on one. YOU DON'T NEED QUESTIONS FROM US..all you need to do is ask yourself or anyone else about dieting and Jorge will set them on the right track. I learned about Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure in May this year. I had been on a low fat low cal diet for two months, lost 5 lbs, hungry all the time but not losing any more. I started trying the Belly Fat Cure in June on my own, drastically cutting down sugar. The weight came off steadily and I've lost at least 10 more lbs which is 8% of my wieght in June. The Belly Fat Cure worked when nothing else seems to.

What is amazing to me is.....I'm sitting in my family room in the evening, thinking about what to eat and it dawned on me that I CAN eat...the kitchen is full of healthy choices! Dear Joy, Jorge Cruise is truly a God send, a gift from heaven above.
I love Jorge Crusie with my whole heart and my whole soul. I can not say enough good things about this man.

I can start by saying that I met him two days after my birhtday, a year ago and I weighed 250 pounds, I now weigh 180, I have lost 70 pounds and maintained this weight for over one year. I have not gained any more weight back.

The reason I am writing is because I am at a plateau and I really need his help to break this plateau. I lost 16 inches from my waist. My goal weight is to lose another 50 pounds and weigh 130 pounds.

Jorge Cruise changed my life 100%, when I first met Jorge Cruise, I weighed 250 pounds, I was a walking heart attack, I was a walking dead person. I did not even know how to begin to lose weight. Jorge was my motivation and my role model and most of all my inspiration because he believed in me so much and I did not and do not ever want to let him down or disappoint him.

My life now is 100% totally different, I live a very healthy life style now.
I do not even like the food that I use to eat when I weighed 250 pounds.

I am able to do all the things I was not able to do before.
I am able to RUN, this is the greatest feeling in the world.
I am able to Swim, this is awesome.
I am able to go up the stairs and not feel like I am going to die.
I am able to walk around the mall and not sit on a bench.
I am able to motivate all my coworkers and all my friends at the gym to to help them be a success as well.
My asthma is completely gone, I do not need an inhaler or any time of medication for my asthma. My asthma is 100% cured due to the weight loss.
I do so many other things that I was not able to do before.
The most important thing I learned was living a healthy lifestyle.
Nothing else is more important in life.
I only wish to lose the 50 more pounds and break this plateau that I am in. I need Jorge's help and I know that I can conquer it by next year there is not stopping me. I would love to motivate and help people that are in my situation and be a role model and a poster board person for Jorge, once I am at my goal weight of 130 pounds.

I am very, very happy with my success so far, I feel like I am truly the person that was just screaming to come out and I know that the skinny person weighing in at 130 is just around the corner and I will be the happiest person on earth when I reach my goal weight.

My new goal after reaching my weight of 130 next year is to run a marathon.

I have always wanted to run a marathon and I feel like I can finally make my dream come true.

Hi just wanted to let you know that my roller coaster dieting days are over. I joined Jorge Cruise coaching class and wow I lost 7 llbs in one week. I ate gourmet meals that satisfied myself and my family. I even survived my son's birthday party ( a few more carbs) and still lost. I really can't believe that I lost this weight and never felt deprived on his food program. I will be in his class for 12 weeks and I can't wait to see how I will look.

I have been attending a gym faithfully several times a week for over a year now. I have firmness under a layer of thickness of skin? I haven't been able to get rid of. As of 2 days ago I have cut way back on sugar. I didn't realize how much I was taking in I was watching my calorie intake eating "healthy" so I thought. I was probably getting more like at least 50 grams of sugar a day, I am only 5 feet tall and I way 120, so I am still not at an ideal weight for my size except I do weight resistance so I am also not sure how much of my weight is from my muscle mass I have obtained these last few months.

I have been on the Jorge Cruise Belly Fat Cure Program for 1 week now and am astounded by the results so far...5 lbs and 2 inches lost and the great part is I am eating foods I love but have avoided for years. The other great part of this program is that I can do it from home on my own time. Jorge has live weekly classes on-line but if I miss those I can still watch them later in the week. There is no time spent visiting weight loss centres for weekly check-ins. Jorge has made this program very affordable, convenient and therefore easy to stick to!

Hi Joy,

I'm a pretty big skeptic (big as in literally and figuratively), and that's been a great excuse to never start any "diet", since we're constantly told they don't work anyway. And 244lbs looks pretty much the same as 225 did which looked a lot like 210 and so on. At 46 with 2 little kids it was time for me to actually get real and act rather than wait to start "tomorrow".

Happy to report that Jorge Cruise's BFC plan is working for me (less than one week into it down 7lbs and 2" in the waist) and he even has my 9yr old and 6yr old looking at labels to see how much sugar is in the stuff they eat/drink. The 6 yr old even declared last night that he was done with candy – FOREVER! (Not holding my breath on that one – they've had a 2 piece a day habit for a long time). But at least we have options and I'll start being able to switch high sugar crap for lower sugar alternatives and they will know why.

Do a follow up with Jorge in 12 weeks to see how all of his program followers are all doing:)

I, too, have been following Jorge Cruise's BFC diet. What is really striking to me as I read labels with new eyes is that all these sugar laden foods that are so very toxic to us are everywhere! The fact that the government subsidizes corn production when there is an overwhelming surplus of the stuff is part of the reason we now find high fructose corn syrup in so many foods. We, as a nation, grow fatter and fatter and the sugar content in processed foods just keeps going up and up and up. I'm delighted to be able to eat real foods like my great grandparents did – eggs, butter, meat, whole grain breads, cream – and now view sugary things as something to be enjoyed extremely rarely, on special holidays. I can live like this. It beats the hell out of counting calories!

I owe so much to Jorge for making me see that sugar is so bad for your health. I used to have joint pain and felt sluggish and just plain fat!!! I ate sugar all the time. With Jorge's help and Bell Fat Cure program I can make more sensible choices. I've lost 5 lbs and at least 2 inches off my waist. It is my dream to lose at least 45 more pounds. I found out about Jorge through an article in the Costco magazine. Am I ever glad I read the article. There's nothing fake about Jorge, his Bell Fat Cure program really works.

Hi Joy,
I wanted to tell you of the amazing success I've had with the belly fat cure! I've tried restricting carbs, and counting points before and they just did not work for me...my body refused. But I am glad every day that I found Jorge and had a chance to be coached by him as it has transformed my life!
So far, I have lost 22lbs and 13 inches, eating more food than all my dieting friends at work. They, by the way, CANT Wait for Jorges book to come out! They hate that I can have chocolate, cheetos, and ice cream and still lose weight! I continue to follow my lifestyle and still have a few pounds to lose, but I dont have to worry though...it just keeps falling off!

I watched the video interview between Jorge & Dr. Oz, where they talk about too much sugar causing excessive extrogen in our bodies. This astounded me, as my naturopath had diagnosed my monthly migraines to be caused by estrogen dominance. She never said anything to me about cutting back on my sugar, though. I wish she had known about this, because everything she told me to do has not eliminated my migraines, only made them a little less severe. I started avoiding sugar a week ago when I learned of Jorges program. I plan to buy his book so I can get better instructions about his program, but can't wait to see if cutting sugar gets rid of the migraines I have been having monthly for years! So many women suffer monthly migraines these days, I knew there had to be a reason for it stemming from our modern diet, but didn't know exactly what it was. This is such exciting information!

I am a 56 years old health care professional. I have had difficulty controlling my weight for many years. I know diets do not work because I have tried many, only to regain the loss weight plus. I have even tried one of the programs where you order meals each month that are already prepared. I am overstocked with a 2.5 month supply of those meals because I often feel starved trying to adhere to that program. Even moreso, since starting Jorge's personal training Belly Fat Cure (BFC) program a week ago, I was absolutely astonished by the large amount of sugar that these prepared meals contain.

I have had a total joint replacement of one knee, and during a recent health physical, I was found to have a mildly elevated fasting glucose level. I have known for sometime that I needed to get rid of the excess weight for improved health, and I did not want to opt for more drastic measures such as bariatric surgery. However, as a last ditch effort for weight control, about a month ago, I finally decided to attend a required orientation session as a prerequisite for bariatric surgery. Around the same time, I learned of Jorge's personal training BFC program and decided to give it a try before opting for surgery.

I have found the foods that I prepare using BFC recipes are delicious and easy to prepare; and, I do not feel starved. During the first week on Jorge's personal training BFC program, I lost 6 pounds and 1 inch from the waist just by being cognizant of the recommended 15/6 sugar to carbs ratio and following it as best I could while traveling for 3 days during the first week and having to rely on food selections from restaurant menu's. I think that the food selections that I am learning to make through BFC is the perfect lifestyle change that I need, and one that I can adhere to for long-term weight loss and improved health. I am quite pleased to have discovered Jorge's BFC alternative. I now need to get a consistent exercise program going also. Thank you Jorge!

Many, many diets tell you that you have to make a lifestyle change and in the same breath tell you, no wine, no chocolate, no butter, no coffee or worse black coffee no cream. Then when you stray as inevitably you will. they tell you you need willpower. My husband has been skinny all of his life, he tells me ,"if you would exercise more you would lose weight"
I tried every diet and exercise plan known to man and yet nothing worked.
After only one week with Jorge Cruise I can honestly tell you this is it. This is the answer to America's obeisity problem. I have lost weight, lost inches, lost sugar cravings, lost the feeling of always being hungry.
I drink wine, eat chocolate, have cheese and crackers and yes even put cream in my coffee. I feel human again. What the others are saying is all true, every word.

I just started (1.5 weeks ago) the 12 week Belly Fat Cure with coaching by Jorge Cruse. I think this is a great program so far – I lost 12 pounds last week. I have a lot to lose, so that's probably why the high number. I love the foods available on BFC – just normal food but without lots of sugar and empty carbs. Lot's of information from Jorge and his team make it easy to know what to eat, how to figure out the S/C (sugar/carbohydrate) value in foods. Feeling like this is definitely going to be part of my life for a long time.

I hace been in the gym for years from 2-3 or 4 hrs a day (when I used
to perform I would spend hrs there) ,I am now 53 and in good health,
and physical shape , but after menopause, I am quite unhappy with

Hola Joy: Why do we wait for a wake-up call from the doctor to tell us that we have diabetes or the potential of some form before we pay attention to our sugar intake? Did I pay attention to the 12 g of sugar in 1 cup of milk whether it be reduced fat or fat free when I would drink a tall 20-oz glass of ice cold milk a night? I had ingested as much sugar if not more than the 2 cookies I had with it –HELLO!
So THANKS to JORGE CRUISE I do not make that mistake anymore!
I am not diabetic but I do want to watch my sugar intake and following the BFC program I am becoming an educated consumer of sugar content in foods. I will soon be 61 and was 200+ I've lost 3 lbs- 1st week + 1 day. I want to be able to enjoy playing with my 4 yr old grandchild and my hubby when we soon retire. - Now I have hope it will happen!

I've done weight watchers, Atkins, tried sugar busters, South Beach and diet pills and I don't have the patience anymore to be deprived or be hungry. So far I have lost 7 1/2 lbs the first week without being hungry or sacrificing. I have to admit, I would like to have some jelly beans...saw some the other day at the office... but I'm on a roll and after what I have learned about sugar from Jorge I can't see myself ever going back. Everything I look at that other people are eating, I can't help but see pure sugar and how bad it is. This is the most doable way of eating that you could imagine and the world needs to know.

First off I had been in nursing for 30 years, now retired due to a disability from a car accident. For the past 25 of those 30 years I gained weight steadily until I topped off at 232 and am 5ft 3in. Yes! as a medical professional I should have known better (*but take a look in a hospital...many over weight health professionals who should know better), but it seems like every decade there is a new therory about why and how to loose weight. I know now that I should have sicked with Dr Adkins diet back in the 80"s. But eating on the run, fast food (literally on every street corner), transfats (until they were finally found to be "bad for you", I was finally scared enough when I develope type 2 diabetes and my blood pressure finally topped, that I lost 70 lbs over an 18 month period by walking, portion control and (wow!) giving up the liter or more of sugar I drank every day. After just 20 lbs lost, my glucose levels went back to normal, and after 40 my Ac1 levels are also normal. No longer needing medication. Now I am thin everywhere but my belly. I heard of the Belly Fat Cure and was going to join, but because of the cost I am just learning what I can from where I can. I have 40 lbs to go and am hoping starting the 15/6 will be the CURE I need. I love my fruit which is probably why I have slowed down and not lost my belly. I just wanted to comment on the seemless end of "reasons and theroies" over the years to weight control. I have been reading medical literature, following Dr Oz's Real age and have been convinced that this insulin therory may just be the final help I need. I started with a 54 inch waist, am now down to 41 and my goal is 32, (as I will have much excess skin on my belly unfortunately). So thank you Jorge for finally bringing this to light to so many people.

Wooo, hoooo! I just measured my waist and lost 3" in one week! I'm on the Belly Fat Cure by Jorge Cruise. It's a great program – really! I've been struggling with weight all my life. The support they offer keeps me on track and gives me somewhere to go when I start to get discouraged and get rejuvinated again.

Plus, I'm eating foods I've avoided for years and my hunger pangs are gone – really! I had ice cream last night; what a way to end my day. It's also "fantastic" (Jorge always uses that word) not to count calories. Counting sugars and carbs is so much easier. It's also an education to see how much sugar is embedded in foods. I always knew I had a problem with sugar, I just didn't know I was eating so much of it! Tell everyone!

I'm a Jorge Cruise miracle, and I don't say this lightly, I too, like Janice am a HiperThyroid patient who after my treatment to regulate it gained 40 lbs... when Jorge was promoting his first group for the Belly Fat Cure back in November of last year, I signed up and did it, lost 35 lbs, which I've kept off.... and I was the least disciplined, so guys, believe me, if I can do it, anyone can.
At first I was loosing the inches, at least one a week, then the pounds kept comming off, just following the golden rule, watch the sugars and the carbs.
At first I said I wanted to loose the 40 lbs I gained, but remembered I really don't like myself when I loose too much weight because my face is not the best, but still doing good.

I am 73 years old and have gone up and down in weight a lot in my life, many times precipitated by pregnancies (5). I now live in Romania and some foods listed on most food plans are not available. I have, however, been able to follow the RealAge plan with Dr. Oz and the exercises that are recommended by your guest. I have lost 26 lbs.–yea –since June 1st when I came here to Romania. In the previous 1 1/2 yrs I was unable to exercise or walk because of very painful bone spurs pressing on my spine and giving me constant pain in my legs so I gained back 30 of hard-won 50 lb. loss. Now, I've just about done that 30 again. The best thing that works is small portions, not eating past 6:00 p.m. and having chocolate only once on the weekend. Works for me!

Hi Joy-

I started Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure diet 2 weeks ago and have lost 6 lbs. I only have 9 more lbs. to go. Jorge's passion and knowledge were very impressive and I'm very grateful to be able to afford his program and the foods he recommends. In the Pittsburgh area many of the foods aren't available like they are in California which means limited choices so I purchase online which means added shipping costs but it's a payoff as it's great to not feel hungry all the time and enjoy what I eat and for the first time be full. There were many changes, especially going from skim milk to unsweetend almond milk, no more fruit, but in the end if it's better for me I can live with that. I have always had high cholesterol (inherited) and I work out every day of the week and literally never sit still (energy level a lot like Jorge!). I'm only 39 years old so to be honest eating more fat (trying to steer away from saturated) and cholesterol does concern me but I know Jorge has said many times that it's the sugar that is the culprit for fat, bad cholesterol levels and high triglycerides. I'm going to have my blood drawn again at the end of the 12 week program and see how my levels have changed. Until then I will keep eating the foods that are lower in sugar, stick to the 15/6 and see what my levels are in 10 more weeks. My hats off to Jorge for his effort, passion and desire to help others. im 44 and I lost 15 lbs using the belly fat cure{thanks Jorge} ;] I was so impowered- and I am certified in physical fitness and nutrition. You can always learn something new! I keep tweeking my diet, but Im enjoying my food more than ever. Learning to read your labels and watch your sugar. I love whats happening to my body , my attitude, and my life. My spirit has improved and I feel more in tuned with body , mind. Sugar and caffine has its place, but dont over do it! My advice- start a garden! Nothings more rewarding than growing your own food! I have a lot of respect for Jorge. I was featured in his 3-Hour Diet book. Unfortunately, I gained all my weight back due to my own fault. It is a marvelous diet - actually great change n lifestyle eating habits. I am interested in the Belly Fat Cure, and it makes sense; however, I am very concerned about limiting the amount of fruit. In keeping to 15 grams or less of sugar a day, that really cuts back on the fruit, especially if you eat other foods that contain sugar in them. I have always thought that fruit is healthy in many ways and also provides a lot of protection against disease, so I wish that Jorge would address this and also would like the opinon of some other experts on this, preferably doctors.

I have a carob problem I eat bread and rice like there is a foodshortage about to happen.

Also, Hamburgers are my like (not Love, only Love God and people)but, burgers I can eat one or two a week. My problem after i eat one i feel hunger still, I've had the fries and all i feel as if i don't taste the burger.

Hi! Jorge does not recommend the agave on the Belly Fat Cure.

This program is great for people who are addicted to sugar and artificial sugars. The biggest difference I have noticed in the last 3 wks is that all my sweet/carb cravings are gone! I was certain I had pre-diabetes or was insulin resistant, but blood test showed I was not. But I was certainly starving for sugar all the time.

When you first start Jorge Cruis Belly fat diet, can you experience fatigue? Thank you to anyone who shares

I started BFC in July 2009 based on an article in The Costco Connection. As of 1/10/2010 I have lost approximately 40 lbs. I have never felt hungry, and as far as energy level goes, I suppose there is a possibility of feeling a little fatigue as you wean yourself off of all the sugar you've probably been eating. But after about a week, I found just the opposite. I have more energy than ever. I feel good, so good that I am actually cutting back on depression medication that I have taken for years. Obviously, you should probably check with your doctor before embarking on a new program, but I didn't. In August I saw my doctor for an unrelated matter. At that point I was down 16 lbs. She sent me for routine bloodwork. Cholestrol was down - no more Lipitor, everything else was good. She said whatever I'm doing, keep on doing it. So Janet Winograd, that's your answer.
